eTwinning Conference 2010 in Seville

At the beginning of February 4 teachers and 6 NSS members from Estonia attended the 5th annual eTwinning Conference in Seville.
In the evening of our arrival we enjoyed a walking tour in the amazingly gorgeous capital of the Andalusia.
On the 5 Feb there were 2 plenary sessions (Opening Address and "Changes in 21st Century Education" by Prof Stephen Heppell), exhibitions were set up, there was the eTwinning Prizes Award Ceremony and there was time for networking.
We met with our partners Mr Jens from France (project 2009 and 2010 "SayIT") and Mrs Aldute from Lithuania (Comenius project WebEcam 2009-2011).
On the 6 Feb there were 3 Workshop Sessions. The most inspiring of the attended ones was "Intercultural Understanding in eTwinning" by James R.Chamberlain. You never learn enough about the other cultures but even more "the real job is to understand your own"!

In Portuguese lesson we learned a few things. We learned that Portugal's capital city is Lisbon. I also know how to say hello in Portuguese now. Ola! We watched beautiful videos of Portugal. Portuguese people really like football. Their best player is Christiano Ronaldo. They have very delicious food, too. Their national bird is rooster. They have got 700 years old University. The weather is often warm there. I really want to go to Portugal because it's a very beautiful country, with very kind people!

Yesterday we learned cool things. We made a delicious cake. Then we listened to some music and we danced. We learned some Portuguese words. Next we answered the questions.

We learned about Portuguese culture and we made a cake together. We ate it all. We listened to a song and we danced. This Portuguese guy sang and played his guitar.

We made a cake. What was in: sugar, egg yellows, biscuits, hand warm butter. Portugal's flag is green and red. Our Portuguese teacher Joao has a long name. Joao likes singing. He has black short hair. Joao is very happy.

The cake was very delicious. I remember some words: ola´ and adeus. The national bird is rooster. I liked the Portuguese song. I am interested in the Portugal's history.

We made a cake. We ate the cake and it was very tasty. We sang and danced. We sang in Portuguese and in Estonian. We studied about Portuguese culture and history. It was a very nice day.

That was a funny lesson. We liked the teachers. We learned much about Portugal. The capital of Portugal is Lisbon and their national bird is rooster. We learned some Portuguese words: 'ol´a' means 'hello'. Their national anthem is 'Portuguesa'. It talks about how they won the battle. In Portugal there are some good football players. When Ronaldo was a young boy, he played football on a field with a ball full of rocks. It was dangerous, but now he is a famous football player. In Lisbon there's a gate which leads to the down town.

Portuguese Day was very interesting. They taught us how to say "Hello!" and "Goodbye!". Ronaldo is the best football player in the world, he is Portuguese. Portugal is a hilly country. They told us many great stories about Portugal. Now I know that there are Portuguese people in many places in the world because they used to have lots of colonies. Their national food is muffins salad and a special cake.
